اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، ایک ہے، جس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کے لیے بادشاہی ہے اور اسی کے لیے حمد ہے، وہی زندگی دیتا ہے اور وہی موت دیتا ہے، اور وہی زندہ ہے اور کبھی نہیں مرتا، اس کے ہاتھ میں بھلائی ہے اور وہ قادر ہے تمام چیزیں.

4th Kalma Translation in English

The English translation of the 4th Kalma generally reads:

“There is no god but Allah, One is He, no partners has He. His is the kingdom, and for Him is all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His hand is all good, and He has power over everything.”

It is a verbal commitment to the oneness and omnipotence of God, and it also stresses the attributes of God as the giver of life and death.
